Job summary

Konkan Coast Studios is seeking a Unity Developer on a contract basis to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Unity development, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for creating high-quality narrative driven games.

You will implement core gameplay functionality in a clean, modular way and ensure a fun user experience. The role requires 1–2 years of professional Unity experience, a solid grasp of the .NET framework, and familiarity with version control.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of professional experience as a Unity game developer.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Solid understanding of Unity's core systems and APIs.
• Strong understanding of OOP concepts and clean code design.

You will work to implement core gameplay functionality as per specification in a clean, modular manner and ensure a fun user experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop features by writing clean, modular and maintainable code for the game.
• Collaborate to implement gameplay features and functionality as per communicated design
• Optimise features for performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Debug and resolve technical issues to ensure a smooth user experience.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to incorporate best practices into development.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1-2 years professional experience as a Unity game developer
• Ability and willingness to adapt and learn new skills on the job
• Solid understanding of the .NET framework, version control software (preferably PlasticSCM/UVCS), testing, and optimization techniques.
• Strong understanding of Unity's core systems and APIs
• Understanding of OOP concepts like composition, code design patterns and writing clean code
• Understanding of the Agile development lifecycle
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and effective time management
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

GOOD TO HAVES:

• Experience in designing and creating 3D models
• Knowledge in other aspects of game development like UI/UX or SFX.
