Job summary

Uno Minda Group in Pune, India is seeking an experienced manufacturing professional to lead daily assembly production, monitor OEE and line efficiency, and drive Lean initiatives. The role includes planning manpower, ensuring quality with SOPs and PFMEA, and guiding engineers and operators through improvements.

Candidate should have 6–8 years in automotive assembly, with strong leadership and problem-solving skills to support NPD, trials and launches in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in assembly/production, 6–8 years in automotive or auto component manufacturing.
• Familiar with SOP, PFMEA, Control Plan and work instructions.
• Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily assembly production and achieve production targets.
• Monitor OEE, productivity, cycle time, downtime and line efficiency.
• Plan manpower with line balancing and multi-skilling.
• Ensure quality compliance with SOP, PFMEA, Control Plan and work instructions.
• Lead root cause analysis (5 Why, 8D, Fishbone) and implement corrective actions.
• Support new product development, trials and production launches.
• Drive Lean, Kaizen, 5S, productivity and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Ensure material availability, FIFO compliance and inventory control.
• Coordinate maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.
• Ensure EHS compliance and audit readiness.
• Lead and develop Engineers, Supervisors and Operators.
• Prepare and monitor production KPIs and MIS reports.

• Plan and optimize manpower through line balancing and multi-skilling.
• Ensure quality compliance with SOP, PFMEA, Control Plan, and work instructions.
• Lead root cause analysis (5 Why, 8D, Fishbone) and implement corrective actions.
• Support new product development (NPD), trials, and production launches.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, productivity, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Ensure material availability, FIFO compliance, and inventory control.
• Coordinate maintenance activities to reduce equipment downtime.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, safety standards, and audit requirements.
• Lead and develop Engineers, Supervisors, and Operators.
• Prepare and monitor production KPIs and MIS reports.

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in E& TC, Production, or Industrial Engineering.

Experience

• 6–8 years of experience in Assembly/Production, preferably in Automotive/Auto Component manufacturing.
