Job summary

Velocity Software Solutions in India is seeking a UI/UX Designer to drive user-centered design across web and mobile platforms. You will collaborate with product teams, developers, and senior designers to craft intuitive interfaces and engaging experiences.

The role requires a strong portfolio (Behance/Dribbble) and proficiency in Figma; HTML/CSS knowledge is a plus. You will contribute to design systems, handoff to developers, and stay updated with UX trends.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Figma is mandatory.
• Portfolio on Behance or Dribbble is mandatory.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus.

Role: UI/UX Designer

Interview Mode: Face-to-Face Only

CTC: 3 LPA to 4.2 LPA, depending on interview

Bond: 2 Years

Role & responsibilities

• Collaborate with product teams, developers, project managers, and senior designers to define and implement effective UI/UX solutions.
• Understand user requirements, conduct basic user research, and contribute to defining user journeys and flows for web and mobile applications.
• Design engaging, intuitive, and user-friendly interfaces ensuring a seamless user experience across platforms.
• Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs aligned with project goals and brand guidelines.
• Maintain design consistency by following and contributing to design systems and UI standards.
• Participate in usability testing and incorporate feedback into design improvements.
• Stay updated with the latest UI/UX trends, accessibility standards, design tools, and emerging technologies.
• Coordinate with developers during the design handoff process to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
• Manage multiple design tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred candidate profile

• Proficiency in Figma (mandatory); working knowledge of tools such as Balsamiq, Canva, Photoshop, Miro, or InVision is a plus.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, visual hierarchy, and usability best practices.
• Good eye for typography, color theory, layout, and spacing.
• Ability to design responsive, mobile-first interfaces; knowledge of accessibility guidelines is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow in the UI/UX design field.
• A portfolio on Behance or Dribbble showcasing design projects is mandatory.
• Knowledge of basic front-end technologies (HTML/CSS) is an added advantage.
