Citigroup Inc. is seeking an Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst in Pune to drive the design, development, and delivery of complex full-stack applications.

You will craft high-performance front-end interfaces with React.js and robust backend services with Java/Spring Boot, aligning with product objectives and architectural standards. As a senior technical leader, you will mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and guide best practices in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional full-stack software development experience.
• Proficiency in React.js, Redux, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Strong backend experience with Java and Spring Boot; RESTful APIs design.
• Experience with HTML5/CSS3 and relational/noSQL databases.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and review code in an Agile environment.

Job description

The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex, user-centric front-end interfaces using React.js and its ecosystem.

• Architect and build robust, scalable, and high-performance backend services and APIs using Java and related frameworks like Spring Boot.

• Partner with product owners, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements and wireframes into high-quality, functional software.

• Serve as a technical subject matter expert, providing guidance and mentorship to other developers on best practices for front-end and back-end development.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code across the full stack, adhering to established coding standards and practices.

• Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and security.

• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and responsiveness.

• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues and bugs in production and non-production environments.

• Drive the evaluation and adoption of new technologies and frameworks to improve application performance and developer productivity.

• Participate in all phases of the agile development lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and maintenance.

Recommended qualifications:

• 12+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development.

• Extensive, hands-on experience with front-end development, particularly with React.js, Redux, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).

• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and related web technologies.

• Proven experience in backend development using Java and frameworks such as Spring Boot.

• Solid experience in designing and building RESTful APIs.

• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL databases.

• Experience with modern development tools and practices, including Git, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, TeamCity), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and mentor junior engineers.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Master’s degree is a plus.
