Job summary

Citi in Maharashtra, India seeks an Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst to drive full-stack delivery with React.js front-end and Java Spring Boot back-end.

You will mentor developers, perform code reviews, optimize performance, and collaborate with product owners and UX/UI designers in an Agile environment.

Ideal candidates have 12+ years in full-stack development, strong React/Redux, Java/Spring Boot, REST APIs, databases, and CI/CD with Docker/Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of full-stack software development experience.
• Hands-on front-end with React.js, Redux and modern JavaScript.
• Strong back-end with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and working with relational/NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Job description

The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex, user-centric front-end interfaces using React.js and its ecosystem.
• Architect and build robust, scalable, and high-performance backend services and APIs using Java and related frameworks like Spring Boot.
• Partner with product owners, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements and wireframes into high-quality, functional software.
• Serve as a technical subject matter expert, providing guidance and mentorship to other developers on best practices for front-end and back-end development.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code across the full stack, adhering to established coding standards and practices.
• Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and security.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and responsiveness.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues and bugs in production and non-production environments.
• Drive the evaluation and adoption of new technologies and frameworks to improve application performance and developer productivity.
• Participate in all phases of the agile development lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and maintenance.

Recommended qualifications

• 12+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development.
• Extensive, hands-on experience with front-end development, particularly with React.js, Redux, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and related web technologies.
• Proven experience in backend development using Java and frameworks such as Spring Boot.
• Solid experience in designing and building RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with modern development tools and practices, including Git, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, TeamCity), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and mentor junior engineers.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree is a plus.
