Job Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate complete UAV systems, including flight controllers, propulsion, power systems, communication systems, navigation sensors, payloads, and ground control systems.
- Define and manage system‑level requirements, interfaces, configurations, and architecture based on UAV mission and operational requirements.
- Perform integration and configuration of flight controllers/autopilots, GNSS/GPS, IMUs, telemetry, ESCs, motors, batteries, radios, and other UAV subsystems.
- Conduct ground testing, system validation, flight testing, and performance evaluation to verify UAV functionality and reliability.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, communication, sensor, power, and integration issues during development and testing.
- Work closely with mechanical, electronics, embedded, software, and pilot teams to ensure effective subsystem integration and overall UAV performance.
- Analyze flight‑test data and system performance to identify issues and implement improvements related to flight stability, endurance, payload capability, reliability, and mission performance.
- Maintain system documentation including system architecture, wiring/interface information, configuration parameters, test procedures, test reports, and engineering change records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related engineering discipline.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in UAV/drone systems, robotics, aerospace systems, embedded systems integration, or a similar multidisciplinary engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of UAV architecture, flight‑control systems, propulsion, power systems, navigation, communication, and sensor integration.
- Hands‑on experience with UAV autopilots/flight controllers such as Pixhawk, ArduPilot, PX4, or equivalent platforms.
- Familiarity with Mission Planner, QGroundControl, telemetry systems, GPS/GNSS, IMU, ESC, brushless motors, Li‑ion/LiPo battery systems, and UAV communication interfaces.
- Ability to independently perform system integration, troubleshooting, ground testing, and flight‑test activities, with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Good technical documentation and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with R&D, electronics, software, mechanical, and flight‑test teams in a fast‑paced startup environment.
