Job summary

Enercomp is seeking an experienced UAV Engineer to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot drones for industrial, survey, or R&D applications. The role emphasizes hands-on drone flying, hardware integration, and safety compliance.

You will work with fixed-wing drones, perform pre-/post-flight checks, calibrate sensors, and support payload testing while documenting flight logs and maintenance records. Travel for field ops is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics / Electrical / ECE Engineering.
• Hands-on experience flying drones (manual and autonomous).
• Understanding of UAV technologies flight controllers, telemetry, sensors, and radio communication.
• Troubleshooting electronic circuits, wiring, and UAV components.
• Familiarity with Mission Planner, QGroundControl, or similar UAV software.
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to technical details.
• Willingness to travel for field operations, demonstrations, or client visits.

Responsibilities

• Operate and fly fixed-wing drones safely for field operations.
• Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections, ensuring airworthiness and system readiness.
• Troubleshoot issues related to flight controllers, ESCs, motors, GPS modules, batteries, and other UAV components.
• Assist in the integration and testing of payloads, sensors, communication modules, etc.
• Maintain detailed flight logs, maintenance records, and mission reports.
• Conduct calibration of IMU, compass, GPS, and other onboard systems.
• Support engineering teams in RD activities, prototype testing, and performance evaluations.
• Follow DGCA or internal guidelines for safety and operational protocols.
• Provide technical support to customers or internal teams during demonstrations.
• Ensure proper battery management, charging cycles, and power system health monitoring.
