Job summary

EY is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to design and customize ServiceNow applications, oversee deployment of new modules, and ensure seamless integration with external systems. The role demands hands-on experience with REST APIs, scripting, and platform upgrades.

The candidate will work with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable IT solutions, participate in production support, and continuously improve processes and tooling within EY's ServiceNow environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• 6-7 years of knowledge of programming languages with at least 3 years in ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Customize ServiceNow applications and facilitate rollout of new applications and modules and configure Application UI and configure workflow.
• Collaborate with ServiceNow administrators to develop solutions and handle updates and configuration requests.
• Integrate with 3rd party applications and script REST APIs; ensure latest ServiceNow release is implemented on schedule.
• Estimate work effort and participate in production support and end-user support.
• Address system deficiencies and optimize multi-platform integrations.

• Strong understanding of ServiceNow Development Platform including Custom Development, etc.
• Integration with 3rd party application, Knowledge in scripted REST API
• Must have worked on servicenow version upgrade.
• Customize ServiceNow applications and facilitate rollout of new applications and modules and configure Application UI and configure workflow
• Collaborate effectively with other ServiceNow administrators to develop solutions and handle general updates and configuration changes/requests
• Identify system deficiencies and recommend solutions. Troubleshoot production problems related to ServiceNow custom applications.
• Address problems of systems integration, compatibility and multiple platforms
• Ensure the latest release of ServiceNow application is implemented in a timely manner with minimal or no disruption to IT operations
• Able to manage and lead integration of new products based on client requirements
• Maintenance and continuous improvement of the processes, standards, policies, working methods, and tools
• Ensure appropriate tools and processes are in place to have a development/production environment that is reliable and reproducible
• Ensure tool configuration consistency across development, stage, testing, sandbox, and production environments
• Participate in ongoing production support and end user support
• Ability to efficiently and appropriately estimate work effort requirements
• Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools
• Participate in development of software user manuals and technical reports
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Skills and attributes for success

• System integration experience using web services and other web-based technologies such as XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, REST/SOAP
• Fundamental knowledge of networking including TCP/IP ports and firewalls, network protocols, and IP networks
• Strong familiarity and working knowledge of ServiceNow Suite of tools (Platform capabilities, ITSM, ITOM, Dashboards and Reports, Performance Analytics, Knowledge Base, SOAR, SecOps, etc.)
• Working knowledge in ServiceNow as well as at least two (2) of the following areas:
• Java/J2EE
• C#/C++/C
• VB/.NET
• Perl
• Python
• SQL

Educational Requirement:

• Bachelor a0 Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field; or
• 6-7 years of knowledge of computer programming languages and with at least 3 years of work experience in ServiceNow
