Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all school buses and transport operations.
• Plan and monitor bus routes, schedules, and daily operations.
• Ensure student safety during pick-up and drop-off.
• Supervise drivers, attendants, transport coordinators, and support staff.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance, servicing, fitness, insurance, permits, PUC, and other statutory documents.
• Ensure compliance with RTO regulations and school transport safety guidelines.
• Monitor GPS tracking, CCTV, speed control, and other bus safety systems.
• Handle transport-related complaints from parents, students, and staff.
• Coordinate transportation for school events, excursions, sports activities, and special programs.

Job Summary:

Responsible for managing and overseeing the complete school transportation operations, ensuring safe, efficient, timely, and compliant transport services for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise all school buses and transport operations.
• Plan and monitor bus routes, schedules, and daily operations.
• Ensure student safety during pick-up and drop-off.
• Supervise drivers, attendants, transport coordinators, and support staff.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance, servicing, fitness, insurance, permits, PUC, and other statutory documents.
• Ensure compliance with RTO regulations and school transport safety guidelines.
• Monitor GPS tracking, CCTV, speed control, and other bus safety systems.
• Handle transport-related complaints from parents, students, and staff.
• Manage breakdowns, emergencies, accidents, and alternative transport arrangements.
• Monitor fuel consumption, vehicle performance, and transport expenses.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for vehicle maintenance and transport requirements.
• Prepare transport MIS, operational reports, and budget reports.
• Conduct regular inspections and safety audits of buses.
• Develop and implement transport SOPs and safety procedures.
• Coordinate transportation for school events, excursions, sports activities, and special programs.
• Graduate / Bachelor's degree; qualification in Automobile, Logistics, Transport Management, or related field preferred.
• 15-20 years of relevant experience, preferably in large-scale fleet or school transportation management.
• Experience managing 300+ commercial/school vehicles is preferred for a group-level Transport Head role.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, RTO regulations, safety standards, GPS and fleet management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and team-management skills.
