Job summary

Guidehouse India is hiring for a Medical Coding Trainer role in India. The position focuses on educating new coders and ongoing training for coders involved in PIP, QA teams, and leads. You will provide continuous feedback, define client-specific education areas, and conduct random audits across projects.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years of coding experience, at least 1 year with Guidehouse, and AHIMA/AAPC certification. Flexibility to work shifts including weekends is expected.

• AHIMA or AAPC certification is required.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills and good organizational ability.
• Willingness to work in flexible shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide education for new coders.
• Provide training/education for coders in PIP.
• Provide constant feedback to coders, QA staff, and Leads.
• Specify client, area of education, team details, quality scores.
• Perform random audits across all projects.
• Create training documents based on major error trends.
• Stay updated on industry changes and refresh training materials.
• Ensure coders achieve 95% accuracy as per client contracts.
• Maintain average productivity while ensuring quality.

What You Will Need

• Minimum Experience: 3–5-year coding experience and minimal 1 year experience with Guidehouse.


• Should be AHIMA/ AAPC Certified.


• Should not be on PIP within 6 months.


• Good analytic skills and expertise to be proficient in accurately coding medical records.


• Strong ability to interpret medical records of the patients in different specialties.


• Ability to communicate, have excellent interpersonal, listening skills and organizational skills.


• Ability to work in flexible shift including weekend.
