Guidehouse India Pvt Ltd is seeking a Training Specialist for Medical Coding Training. The role focuses on educating new coders and providing ongoing instruction for coders in PIP, with emphasis on accuracy and productivity across projects.

You will deliver training, audit performance, and create materials while aligning with client contracts and industry changes. This position supports Chennai-based operations with a focus on ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years coding experience.
• AHIMA/AAPC certification required.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in accurately coding medical records.
• Ability to interpret medical records across specialties.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in flexible shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide education for new coders.
• Provide training/education for coders in PIP.
• Provide constant feedback and education to coders/QA leads; specify client, area, team details, quality scores.
• Perform random audits for coders across projects.
• Create training documents based on major error trends.
• Stay updated with industry changes and update training materials accordingly.
• Ensure coders achieve and maintain a minimum 95% accuracy in coding per client contract.
• Ensure coders maintain average productivity without compromising quality.

What You Will Do

• Provide education for any new coders.
• Provide training/education for any coders in PIP.
• Provide constant feedback and education to entire coders/QA's/Leads Specify , client, area of education, team details, quality scores.
• Perform random audit for coders in all the projects.
• Need to create training document based on major error trends.
• Stay abreast of industry changes and create training document based on changes.
• Assures coders achieve and maintain a minimum 95% accuracy in coding based on client contract.
• Assures coders maintain average productivity standards while maintaining quality.

What You Will Need

• Minimum Experience: 3-5-year coding experience
• Should be AHIMA/ AAPC Certified.
• Good analytic skills and expertise to be proficient in accurately coding medical records.
• Strong ability to interpret medical records of the patients in different specialties.
• Ability to communicate, have excellent interpersonal, listening skills and organizational skills.
