Job summary

Firstsource seeks a Credit Analyst with detailed expertise in the Australian mortgage broking industry to assess PAYG income, self-employed earnings, and creditworthiness in line with lender expectations. You will lead training sessions and simplify credit logic using real-world examples.

You will explain complex income scenarios to learners with varying levels of credit knowledge, ensuring clear understanding and practical application in financial assessments.

Qualifications

• Possess a detailed and practical understanding of the Australian mortgage broking industry.
• Hands-on experience in a Credit Analyst role within an AU broker, lender, or aggregator environment.
• Ability to independently perform PAYG income assessments, including payslips, YTD, and income consistency.
• Experience with self-employed financial reviews for sole trader, company, and trust structures.
• Capable of leading training sessions that explain complex self-employment income scenarios and financial documents.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Possess a detailed and practical understanding of the Australian mortgage broking industry, including broker workflows, lender policies, and credit assessment expectations.
• Have a hands‑on experience in a Credit Analyst role within an AU broker, lender, or aggregator environment.
• Demonstrate the ability to independently perform and explain:
  • PAYG income assessments (payslips, YTD, income consistency, variable income components)
  • Self‑Employed financial reviews, including:
    • Sole trader, company, and trust structures
    • Financial statements, tax returns, NOA, BAS
    • Addbacks, income normalization, and policy‑driven income calculations
  • Be capable of leading training sessions that clearly explain complex self‑employment income scenarios and financial documents to learners with varying levels of credit knowledge.
  • Show confidence in simplifying complex credit logic through examples, use cases, and scenario‑based explanations.
