Job summary

NIIT Foundation is seeking a Data Analytics trainer to conduct classroom and online sessions covering Excel, SQL, Power BI, and basic Python. The role includes curriculum implementation, student assessment, hands-on projects, and placement readiness support.

The candidate should have a graduate or postgraduate degree in Data Analytics, CS, IT, or related fields, with strong Excel and SQL skills and experience in data visualization tools.

Qualifications

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Data Analytics, Computer Science, IT, Statistics, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Formulas, Dashboards).
• SQL (basic to intermediate queries).
• Power BI / Tableau.
• Basic Python (preferred but not mandatory).
• Good understanding of data analysis concepts and visualization.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to engage and manage the classroom effectively.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training sessions on Data Analytics modules (Excel, SQL, Power BI, basic Python).
• Implement curriculum and ensure timely completion.
• Assess students with assignments and mock tests.
• Facilitate hands-on learning with practical sessions and projects.
• Mentor students for doubt resolution, career guidance, and interview prep.
• Monitor attendance and maintain batch performance records.

• Maintain training records and coordinate with centre managers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Training Delivery: Conduct classroom and/or online sessions on Data Analytics modules, including Excel, SQL, Power BI, and basic Python (if applicable).


• Curriculum Implementation: Deliver training as per the prescribed curriculum, ensuring timely completion of modules and alignment with industry standards.


• Student Assessment & Evaluation: Conduct regular assessments, assignments, and mock tests to evaluate student progress and learning outcomes.


• Hands-on Learning: Facilitate practical sessions, case studies, and real-world projects to enhance applied learning.


• Student Mentorship & Support: Provide individual support to students for doubt resolution, career guidance, and interview preparation.


• Attendance & Batch Management: Monitor student attendance, ensure discipline, and maintain batch performance records.


• Placement Readiness: Prepare students for placements through resume building, mock interviews, and soft skills integration.


• Coordination & Reporting: Maintain training records, submit MIS reports, and coordinate with centre managers and placement teams.
