Job summary

Jubilant Ingrevia Limited is seeking a Trainee Research Associate (Formulation & Development) to support R&D activities related to formulation development and process optimization. The role offers hands-on experience in product development, formulation evaluation, stability studies, and manufacturing process support within the Nutrition, Pharmaceutical, and Chemical sectors.

Responsibilities

• Formulation Development Support: ingredient compatibility studies, negative studies, hold-time studies, feasibility batches, validation batches, process optimization, dissolution testing, stability batch handling.
• Process & Manufacturing Support: assist scale-up, troubleshoot development, participate in process improvement for quality and efficiency.
• Equipment Management: calibration, qualification, maintenance, instrument upkeep.
• Inventory & Laboratory Management: monitor raw materials, coordinate procurement, ensure proper storage.

Job Summary
Jubilant Ingrevia Limited is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Trainee Research Associate (Formulation & Development) to support R&D activities related to formulation development and process optimization. The role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in product development, formulation evaluation, stability studies, and manufacturing process support within the Nutrition, Pharmaceutical, and Chemical sectors. The incumbent will work closely with the R&D team to assist in formulation trials, product evaluation, equipment maintenance, inventory management, and technical documentation while ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Formulation Development Support

• Ingredient compatibility studies
• Negative studies and formulation evaluations
• Hold-time studies
• Feasibility batch manufacturing and assessment
• Validation batch execution and documentation
• Process optimization studies
• Dissolution testing and evaluation
• Stability batch preparation, monitoring, and testing

Process & Manufacturing Support

• Assist in formulation scale-up activities and development trials.
• Support troubleshooting activities during formulation development.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

Equipment Management

• Support calibration, qualification, and routine maintenance of laboratory and pilot-scale equipment.
• Ensure proper operation and upkeep of formulation and testing instruments.
• Maintain equipment usage records and calibration documentation.

Inventory & Laboratory Management

• Monitor and maintain inventory of raw materials, ingredients, chemicals, and laboratory consumables.
• Coordinate with procurement and stores teams for timely availability of materials.
• Ensure proper storage, identification, and handling of chemicals and ingredients.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks and experimental records.
• Prepare technical reports, study summaries, batch records, and supporting documentation.
• Adhere to laboratory safety guidelines, SOPs, and quality management systems.

Equipment Exposure (Preferred)

Basic knowledge and understanding of the following equipment will be considered an advantage:

• Rapid Mixer Granulator (RMG)
• Fluid Bed Dryer (FBD)
• Fluid Bed Processor (FBP)
• Vertical and Horizontal Blenders
• Dissolution Tester
• Electromagnetic Sieve Shaker
• Tapped Density Tester

Educational Qualifications

• M.Sc. in Chemistry OR
• M.Pharm

Experience

• 0-2 years of experience in Formulation & Development, Research & Development, or Product Development.
• Fresh postgraduates with relevant academic projects, internships, or industrial training are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in Nutrition, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, or Specialty Ingredients industries will be preferred.
