Job summary

Keka Technologies Private Limited in Maharashtra invites applications for a Fresher Engineer – Production & Quality. The role is on the foundry shop floor, offering hands-on exposure to melting, molding and quality checks.

Candidates should have a Diploma in Mechanical or BE/BTech in Mechanical, with 0–1 year of experience. Rotational shifts and adherence to SOPs, safety and 5S are expected.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical engineering or BE/BTech in Mechanical.
• Fresher with 0–1 year experience.
• Knowledge of basic casting and foundry processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work directly on the foundry shop floor and learn the complete casting process.
• Hands-on involvement in Melting, Moulding, Core Making, Pouring, Fettling and Gate Cutting.
• Monitor furnace operation and basic melting process parameters.
• Check mould and core quality before pouring.
• Monitor pouring activities and follow process instructions.
• Perform visual inspection of castings and identify casting defects.
• Learn defect identification such as blow hole, shrinkage, sand inclusion, crack, misrun and cold shut.
• Support dimensional and quality inspection using basic measuring instruments.
• Check rejection and rework components and record the reasons.
• Assist senior engineers in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
• Monitor production quantity, cycle time and process parameters.
• Maintain daily Production & Quality reports.
• Coordinate with operators, supervisors and maintenance team for production issues.
• Follow SOP, Work Instructions, PPE, Safety and 5S requirements.
• Participate in daily shop-floor meetings and problem-solving activities.
• Learn practical operation and process control under the guidance of senior engineers.
