Job summary

Vikram Solar Ltd. in India seeks a hands-on Maintenance Technician to assist in preventive and corrective maintenance of solar modules, inverters, transformers, switchgear, and SCADA equipment at our plant.

You will support troubleshooting, log daily activities, and generate generation and performance reports. Gain hands-on exposure to solar PV systems, high‑voltage equipment, and O&M processes while adhering to electrical safety standards and plant SOPs.

Qualifications

• B.Tech in Electrical/Mechanical or relevant field.
• Willingness to perform hands‑on maintenance tasks.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in routine preventive and corrective maintenance of solar modules, inverters, transformers, switchgear, SCADA, and plant assets.
• Support troubleshooting of electrical equipment faults under supervision.
• Monitor string-level performance, grid parameters, and equipment health.
• Carry out daily plant inspections and log activities systematically.
• Record and report abnormalities to senior engineers.
• Assist in preparing daily/weekly/monthly generation and performance reports.
• Follow electrical safety standards, PPE rules, and plant SOPs.
• Participate in toolbox talks and safety drills.
• Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities.
• Gain hands-on exposure to solar PV systems, high‑voltage equipment, and O&M processes.
• Assist in module cleaning planning, plant housekeeping, and resource management.
• Support improvement projects such as plant optimization, performance enhancement, and loss analysis.
