Job summary

Exemplar Luxury Group is seeking a Buying Operations professional in Bengaluru to coordinate PO processing, vendor liaison, and replenishment planning. The role requires analytical skills, strong Excel knowledge, and collaboration with global teams to optimize stock and delivery timelines.

You will work closely with Merchandising Planning and Buyers across North America and other regions, contributing to high-quality purchasing decisions and efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Graduate/PG with preference for retail experience and knowledge of supply chain.
• Analytical, advanced Excel, problem solving, eye for detail.
• Data management and interpretation using statistical concepts.
• Strong planning and operational skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Office tools.
• Team player with strong collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication with vendors and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders accurately and timely using relevant tools.
• Coordinate with vendors to confirm order details, delivery schedules, and resolve discrepancies.
• Prioritize orders based on urgency, business needs and SLAs.
• Collaborate with Planners, Buyers and stakeholders to manage replenishment inventory through forecasting.
• Understand stock concepts like min/max, safety stock, lead time, and store transfers.
• Maintain stock levels and develop allocation strategies to maximize sales.
• Provide regular reports on order status and vendor performance.

Role Summary

Reports to Manager - Buying Operations. Works closely with Merchandising Planning, Sample and buying teams in North America and other teams as necessary.

Key Qualifications

Role Description

• Process purchase orders (POs) accurately and timely using relevant tools
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to confirm order details, delivery schedules, and resolve discrepancies
• Prioritize orders based on urgency, business needs, and service level agreements (SLAs)
• Collaborate with Planners,Buyers and other relevant stakeholders to manage Replenishment inventory through accurate forecasting and rectifying all relevant components to achieve department-in-stock goals
• Has the concept/grasp of Stock-store Minimums/Presentation minimum, Maximums, Safety stock, Review Time, Lead time, Store to store transfers etc
• Stock Balancing: Maintain in-stock goals through effective product distribution. Analyze sales history and trends to maximize sales potential by developing allocation strategies that maintain proper store inventory levels
• Provide regular reports on order status, vendor performance, and operational metrics
