Job summary

VMware by Broadcom seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead delivery of large, complex deployments and ensure success across client engagements in the Professional Services Organisation. You will drive scope, timelines, budgets and quality, collaborating with sales and delivery teams to meet contracted goals.

You will manage staffing, scheduling, and governance, and act as a change advocate for customers, while contributing to practice development and identifying additional opportunities

Qualifications

• 8+ years IT industry experience with large-scale VMware Cloud Foundation deployments.
• 5+ years as Project Manager with PMI PMP/Prince2/Agile certs.
• Experience using waterfall and Agile delivery models; strong financial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects within scope, schedule, cost and quality from Initiation to Closure.
• Staff and schedule client engagements to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Identify upsell opportunities within existing engagements; drive risk mitigation and decisions.
• Provide timely project reports following delivery excellence methodologies.

Job Summary
A Project Manager is a motivated, result-driven individual who drives and delivers customer projects successfully for the Professional Services Organisation at VMware by Broadcom.

Professional proficiencies:

• ·Project leadership and delivery of large and complex deployment projectsusing VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) solutions
• ·Experience managing multiple medium to complex scope projects simultaneously
• ·Expertise in project profitability, budget controls, schedule and financial forecasting
• ·Delivers to the statement of work and flags variations, scope changes and avoids over servicing
• ·A cool hand at driving project outcomes while retainingrespect of team and confidence of customer

Key Responsibilities

Manages project to ensure that the project remains within agreed scope, schedule, cost and quality. Collaborate with the account and professional services sales teams to ensure that all clients are being serviced in a consistent and strategic manner from Initiation to Closure phase. Understand customer business and technical objectives and product requirements (automation or functional requirement), maintain an understanding in VMware by Broadcom service offerings and value propositions. Responsible for the staffing, scheduling and project management of assigned client engagements, to ensure on time, on budget delivery, in accordance to contracted goals and overall account strategy. Be a ‘change advocate’ for customer, understand the change management required and drive decisions accordingly. Actively participate in practice development for the PMO in the form of process/procedure enhancements. Identify additional sales opportunities within existing engagements and customer base. Leads negotiating, coordinating and complex decision-making processes to mitigate project risks and issues. Skill Requirements

• ·8+ years of experience in the IT industry with recent experience preferably for large scale design and deployment of VMware Cloud Foundation and multi cloud solutions.
• 5+ years of experience working as a Project Manager in the IT Industry and possess relevant Project Management Certifications (i.e. PMI PMP, Prince 2, Agile certification).
• Experience using waterfall and Agile delivery model.
• Proficiency in using Jira, Microsoft Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Project), Google suite
• Has a strong Business and financial acumen and Proficiency in managing commercial controls of a project while maintaining quality
• Strong presentation, influencing and negotiation skills at Executive levels
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with complex resourcing in a matrix environment.
• Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonalskills.
• Demonstrates ownership and accountabilitywhile working with demanding clients.
• Has the ability to travel up to 40% when required within same city or nationally.
