Job Purpose Drive organizational excellence by leading Total Quality Management (TQM) initiatives, conducting Industrial Engineering (IE) studies, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This role integrates traditional IE methodologies with advanced quality frameworks to optimize plant efficiency, eliminate waste, and build a world-class manufacturing culture. Key Responsibilities
1. TQM Framework & Business Excellence Model Implementation
- Deploy and sustain business excellence models such as the Deming Prize, EFQM, or equivalent frameworks.
- Initiative Ownership: Drive and review core TQM pillars including Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Benchmarking & Milestone tracking, and workplace management systems (WMS).
- Standards Development: Establish, implement, and audit quality standards across the organization to drive operational excellence.
2. Workplace Management & Audits
- WMS Ownership: Lead regular audits for the Workplace Management System (5S/WMS) to ensure compliance and high standards.
- Red Tag Activities: Plan, execute, and monitor "Red Tag Day" activities to systematically eliminate waste and optimize space.
- Corrective Action: Track audit findings and collaborate with department heads to implement sustainable corrective actions.
3. Industrial Engineering Studies Process Optimization
- Conduct comprehensive IE studies including time and motion studies, line balancing, and value stream mapping.
- Capacity Planning: Analyze plant layouts, material flow, and manpower utilization to maximize productivity and reduce costs.
4. TQM Culture, Awareness & Employee Engagement
- Training & Capability: Design and deliver impact-driven awareness sessions on TQM principles and methodologies.
- Active Participation: Implement strategies to ensure high employee engagement and cross-functional participation in quality drives.
- Promotion & Communication: Manage plant-wide TQM publications, newsletters, and knowledge-sharing platforms.
- Competitions & Recognition: Organize intra-unit TQM competitions, case study presentations, and quality circle forums.
- Felicitation Programs: Design and execute evaluation frameworks to reward and felicitate outstanding TQM contributions.
Technical & Digital Competencies
- Data Analytics: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (macros, pivot tables, complex formulas) for data-driven decision-making.
- Digital Literacy: Strong digital knowledge, including familiarity with industry 4.0 tools, digital audit apps, or quality management software (QMS).
- Problem-Solving: Expert knowledge of root cause analysis tools (8D, Fishbone, 5-Why, Pareto analysis).

Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 4 to 8 years of core experience in Industrial Engineering and TQM implementation within a manufacturing setup.
- Certification: Certified Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or formal training in TPM/Deming/EFQM models is highly preferred.
