Job summary

Apple Inc. in Bengaluru seeks a Total Rewards Accountant to lead US GAAP close, analysis, and reporting for global total rewards accounting processes.

You will manage high-volume reconciliations, drive efficiencies, and partner with regional and local teams to improve controls and automation. You will play a senior role in global projects, with a focus on innovation, automation, and collaboration across the TRA team and H2R leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• US GAAP experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Qualified Accountant
• Strong SAP & Excel skills are essential.

• Complete US GAAP close, analysis & reporting for all total rewards accounting processes.
• High volume JV & BS Reconciliation preparation & ownership while ensuring accuracy & compliance.
• Own multiple global tasks for the TRA team and execute to a high standard. Globally align where required.
• Lead by example in a global team, ensuring inclusive collaboration and strong controls.
• Identify batching, automation & innovation opportunities to add value.

Being part of an organisation that promotes excellence, you will maintain the highest standard of controls and compliance.Working in collaboration with and offering full support to your regional manager and H2R leadership team, you will look to continually seek to review, enhance, and improve in all areas of accounting processes and business partnering.You will have a strong customer focus, partnering with corporate, regional, and local teams to meet deliverables, support analysis, and enhance the customer experience for our key stakeholders.You will play an active and senior role in aiming to automate, acquire new tasks, and add value to the global team and H2R.

Responsibilities

• Complete US GAAP close, analysis & reporting for all total rewards accounting processes.
• High volume JV & BS Reconciliation preparation & ownership while ensuring accuracy & compliance.
• Own multiple global tasks (Relocation recharges & Accruals, International assignee recharges) for the TRA team and execute to a high standard. Globally align where required.
• Own the hard calls while operating under limited supervision. Exercise own judgment and initiative for obtaining results.
• Continually aim to identify batching, automation & Innovation opportunities. Add value where possible.
• Become a natural leader within the team.
• Continually self-develop with the support of your manager & peers.
• Network at the next level. Have a focus on the impacts of decisions and what business partners at all levels may need to know. Understanding of who to inform & include.
• Take ownership of presenting on team topics & owning global projects.
• Complete tasks in a resourceful & effective way.
• Determine the best method and procedure for new tasks.
• Stands back from results and reviews to ensure they make sense.
• Have a deep understanding of the role & is therefore in a position to make strategic process improvement & automation recommendations.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
• US GAAP experience required
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
• Qualified Accountant
• Strong SAP & Excel skills are essential

• Experience of Dataiku is an advantage
