Job summary

Datamatics in Bengaluru, India is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to lead manual and automated testing efforts across web and mobile applications. You will design test scenarios, execute multi-type testing, and drive quality through robust defect management and RTM maintenance.

The role requires hands-on experience with API testing (Postman), test automation (Tosca), and working in Agile/Scrum environments. You will collaborate with developers, BA, and SDET to ensure release readiness.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Software Testing.
• Strong experience in manual testing with exposure to automation and API testing.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Experience testing Web, Mobile/Android, and enterprise applications is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements and prepare test scenarios, test cases, test data, and test plans.
• Execute Functional, Regression, Integration, System, UI, Sanity, Smoke, Exploratory, Accessibility, and Ad-hoc testing.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman.
• Perform Mobile and Web application testing across different platforms and devices.
• Develop and execute automated test cases using Tosca and contribute to test automation initiatives.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects using JIRA and qTest.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, SDET engineers, and other cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects.
• Perform defect verification and regression testing after fixes.
• Maintain Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) and ensure adequate test coverage.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Prepare and maintain test execution reports, defect reports, test summary reports, and other QA documentation.
• Conduct test case reviews, optimization, and quality audits to improve overall testing effectiveness.
• Perform performance testing and validate application/component behavior under different conditions.
• Support release validation and end-to-end testing throughout the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Participate in knowledge transfer, mentoring, and onboarding of new QA team members.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of quality products within sprint and release timelines.

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer / Senior Test Engineer with strong expertise in Manual Testing, Functional Testing, Regression Testing, API Testing, Mobile Testing, and Test Automation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with QA processes, defect management, test case design, execution, and Agile methodologies.
