Job summary

Clariant Power System Limited is seeking a Testing Engineer in India to perform comprehensive testing and verification of electrical panels and systems. You will review drawings, conduct mechanical and electrical tests, and validate communications protocols across Modbus, Profibus, Profinet and IEC 61850.

The ideal candidate has 2–6 years of testing experience, with knowledge of IEC standards, electrical drawings, and protection relays, and will coordinate with production, QA and inspection

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• 2 to 6 years of testing engineer experience.
• Knowledge of electrical drawings and control schematics.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings (GA, SLD, schematic, BOM) before testing.
• Perform mechanical inspection, wiring verification, IR, HV, continuity, earth continuity and functional tests.
• Test PCC, MCC, APFC, RTPFC, AHF, SVG, MV/HT and Protection & Control panels.
• Configure and verify Modbus RTU/TCP, Profibus, Profinet, EtherNet/IP, IEC 61850 and SCADA communication.
• Configure HMI, protection relays, energy meters and communication parameters.
• Troubleshoot electrical and communication faults.
• Prepare FAT/Internal Test Reports and customer documentation.
• Coordinate with Production, Design, QA, Customers and Inspection agencies.
