Job summary

CNH Industrial India seeks a Test Verification Engineer to design, develop, and maintain Python-based automated test frameworks for the Vehicles platform. The role centers on automation framework development, HIL validation, and Android display testing, with AI-assisted test design to boost coverage and release quality.

Requires 4–7 years in HIL validation and 3+ years in Python, embedded testing, or vehicle display testing, with strong English communication and experience in CAN/LIN protocols.

Qualifications

4 to 7 years of experience in HIL validation and 3+ years in Python software development, test automation framework development, Android validation, embedded software testing, or vehicle display testing.
Excellent knowledge of Python with testing experience in embedded domain.
Experience in developing automation test frameworks and scripts using Python, CAPL, etc.
Hands-on experience on HIL validation using dSPACE tool chain.
Knowledge of CAN, LIN and related communications protocols.
Experience with SVN/GitLab/GitHub.
Strong communication in English.

Responsibilities

Define test cases from requirements and adapt system test cases for virtual/SIL environments.
Develop robust test scripts for unit and system level testing; design and develop automation framework.
Create and execute automated functional, integration, regression, system-level, HIL, and safety test cases.
Analyze field/vehicle issues and reproduce in virtual environments.
Maintain HIL framework, test assets, and automated reporting artifacts.
Manage test cases and reports in PLM tools like Polarion, Jira.
Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins or GitLab.
Coordinate with system and software teams and communicate effectively across teams.

Job Purpose

As a Test Verification Engineer, you will design, develop, maintain, and execute scalable Python-based automated test frameworks for CNH's Vehicles platform. The role focuses on automation framework development, Android application validation, debugging, AI-assisted test design, evidence automation, and continuous improvement of test processes. The role combines Python automation framework development, HIL validation, Android display testing, functional safety exposure, and AI-assisted test design to improve test coverage, traceability, release quality, and validation efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Defined test cases from requirements and analyze system test cases for implementation in virtual/SIL environment.
Create robust test scripts for testing the feature under test: Unit level and at system level Design & development of Automation test framework as per the test automation strategy using Python, CAPL or Copilot or other suitable technologies.
Develop and execute automated functional, integration, regression, system-level, HIL, and safety requirement-based test cases using requirement-driven validation practices. Test execution, reporting and troubleshooting, debugging of failed test cases
Analyze the problems found during vehicle/field testing and create tests to reproduce the issue in the virtual environment.
Maintain HIL test framework architecture, test environment assets, automated execution methods, evidence collection utilities, ADB log extraction, automated reporting, and validation artifacts.
Manage test cases and reports in PLM tools like Polarion, Jira, etc.
Create & maintain CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins or gitlab.
Manage & execution of all testing activities in the project independently Identify & implement process improvements to realize efficiencies and maximize reuse
Work as one team with system and software engineering teams
Efficient communication skills with local and remote teams

Experience Required

4 to 7 years of relevant experience in HIL validation & 3+ years in Python software development, test automation framework development, Android application validation, embedded software testing, or vehicle display testing.
Excellent knowledge of Python with testing experience in embedded domain
Experience in developing Automation Test Framework and Automation test scripts using scripting languages (Python, CAPL etc.)
Hands-on experience on HIL validation using dSPACE tool chain (AutomationDesk, ControlDesk, ConfigurationDesk etc.), RTICANMM, Bus Manager integration with MATLAB.
Good Knowledge and experience on CAN, LIN and other communication protocols.
Know usage of CAN vectors tools CANalyzer, CANOE etc.
Prior experience of embedded systems testing using SIL, HIL & vehicle
Good knowledge & working experience with SVN/Gitlab/GitHub
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English language.
Experience in automotive, agriculture, construction equipment, off-highway, embedded systems, vehicle electronics, infotainment, or connected device platforms.
Strong virtual team-oriented mentality (promote collaboration, synergies, collective decisions).
Strong attitude in analyzing, designing and developing medium/high complex solutions.
Strong analytical & reasoning approach for Problem solving.
Knowledge of SAE J1939, Functional Safety standards (ISO 25119/ISO 26262) and SAE 14229 (UDS) Communication protocols is a plus.
Experience in usage of AI in testing to increase efficiency
Self-motivation to find solutions of various issues like developing tools to automate manual tasks and increase efficiency, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication or related engineering field.
Candidates with ISTQB Foundation Certifications or an equivalent automation/testing certification are preferred.
