Job summary

CNH Industrial is seeking a seasoned Cost Lead to own platform product cost objectives for new programs and to drive margin improvements across current products. You will define top-down targets, lead cross-functional teams, and push design-to-value initiatives to achieve strategic cost targets.

Qualifications

At least 15 years of experience in Cost Management.
Automotive or Similar industry experience.
Key competencies include Cost Management, Cost Analysis, ZBC Principles, Target Costing & Value Analysis, Financial planning & Controlling, Manufacturing Costing, Supply chain & Commercial acumen, Data Analysis & Digital Skills, Project & Program Cost Controlling, Stakeholder Management & Influencing.

Responsibilities

Deliver new product programs to product cost targets.
Deliver margin improvement initiatives to platform GM targets.
Drive design to value methodology implementation.
Define early top-down target cost per module and ensure engineers deliver designs to targets.
Drive accountability within cross-functional teams to deliver cost targets (new and current).
Engage, analyze and lead key Product Cost topics within Change Review Board / similar forums.
Lead initiatives to resolve discrepancies between top-down target and bottom-up costs (cost reduction on current products).
Prioritize costing activities by collaborating across teams to meet program timelines.
Analyze and decide make or buy arbitrages.
Lead cost reporting/MIS month on month against Target Cost.
Challenge current cost settlements basis ZBC & support negotiations to achieve Target cost.

Job Purpose

The Cost Lead owns achievement of all platform product cost objectives for new product programs and current product margin improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver new product programs to product cost targets
Deliver margin improvement initiatives to platform GM targets
Drive design to value methodology implementation
Defines early top-down target cost per module and ensure engineers deliver designs to targets
Drive accountability within the cross-functional teams to deliver on cost targets (new and current)
Engage, analyze and lead key Product Cost topics within the Change Review Board / similar forums
Leads implementation of initiatives to solve discrepancies between top-down target and bottom-up costs (including cost red initiatives on current product)
Prioritize the costing activities by collaborating across the teams to meet the programs timeline
Analyses and decides make or buy arbitrages
Key models cost reporting/MIS month on month w.r.t . Target Cost
Challenge current cost settlements basis ZBC & support negotiations where needed to achieve Target cost.

Experience Required

At least 15 years of experience in Cost Management
Automotive or Similar industry experience
