Job summary

Ford is seeking a highly experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our quality engineering team in Chennai. This role focuses on full-stack test automation for financial applications, spanning UI and API layers, and contributing to CI/CD pipelines.

You will design and maintain automated test suites using Java, Selenium, Rest Assured, Appium and Cucumber, collaborate with global teams, and drive test strategy, ensuring reliability and scalability across mobile and cloud

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on QA/test automation experience in the Finance domain.
• Proficiency in programming languages: Java, Python, JavaScript, or Groovy.
• UI automation using Selenium, Appium, Playwright.
• API automation with Rest Assured, SoapUI.
• BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
• Strong experience in CI/CD pipelines, GitHub version control, and scripting.
• Expertise in SQL and database validation.
• Exposure to test execution in mobile cloud platforms (Headspin, Perfecto).
• Experience with test and bug tracking tools such as Jira, Xray, ALM.

Responsibilities
