Job summary

NEWAGE TECH SOLUTION PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a senior QA professional in Bengaluru to lead testing efforts across projects. You will own test strategy, mentoring a team of QA engineers, and coordinating with development, product, and business stakeholders to define acceptance criteria.

The role requires hands-on experience with test management tools (JIRA/TestRail), automation (Selenium/Appium) and API testing (Postman/REST Assured), with strong Agile/Scrum practices and CI/CD integration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years QA/testing experience with leadership.
• Strong test planning/design and defect management.

We are looking for a senior, detail-oriented professional who can balance hands-on test leadership with process governance and stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• - Define and own the overall test strategy, test plans, and test approach for assigned projects
• - Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, assigning test tasks and reviewing test coverage and quality
• - Coordinate with development, product, and business teams to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria
• - Oversee test case design, execution, and defect tracking across functional, regression, and integration testing cycles
• - Drive test automation strategy and coordinate with automation engineers to expand automated test coverage
• - Track and report testing progress, defect trends, and quality metrics to project stakeholders and leadership
• - Manage test environment and test data requirements in coordination with infrastructure and DevOps teams
• - Facilitate defect triage meetings and drive timely resolution of critical and high-priority defects
• - Ensure adherence to QA processes, standards, and release readiness criteria before production deployment
• - Conduct post-release quality reviews and drive continuous improvement in testing processes

Required Skills and Qualifications

• - 10+ years of overall QA/testing experience with proven experience leading test teams
• - Strong knowledge of test planning, test design techniques, and defect management processes
• - Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar
• - Working knowledge of test automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium, or similar) and API testing tools (Postman/REST Assured)
• - Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum testing practices and CI/CD-integrated testing
• - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi
• - ISTQB certification is preferred
• - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
