Job summary

Cognizant invites a Test Lead to join in a hybrid work model for a global financial technology group. You will drive end-to-end testing for issuer and issuer processor solutions and wire payment platforms, coordinating QA across mobile and web channels using Agile methods.

You will create test strategies, manage test design in HP ALM with Xray, perform API testing with Postman and SQL, and mentor junior QA engineers. This role focuses on quality, compliance, and delivery in day shifts.

Qualifications

• ,Bachelor degree or equivalent in IT/CS with focus on software quality engineering.
• 7–11 years of hands on experience in testing complex enterprise applications using Agile methodologies.
• Strong HP ALM proficiency for requirements traceability and defect lifecycle.
• Experience with Xray test management and integrated reporting.
• Mobile testing on iOS and Android with device compatibility.

• SQL for data validation and reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Lead end to end test planning for issuer and issuer processor applications to ensure high quality delivery of complex payment features in alignment with business priorities and regulatory expectations.
• Coordinate test design and execution for wire payments flows to validate accuracy reliability and timeliness of domestic and cross border payment processing.
• Create detailed test scenarios and test cases within HP ALM to maintain a traceable and auditable view of requirements coverage and risk based testing.
• Configure and maintain Xray Test Management assets in integrated development environments to enable transparent reporting of test progress and product quality.
• Execute comprehensive mobile testing on iOS and Android devices to validate usability performance security and compatibility across diverse handset models.
• Perform functional and regression testing for application programming interfaces using Postman and SQL based validations to ensure data integrity and stable integrations.
• Conduct structured system integration and end to end testing for issuer processor and wire payment journeys to discover defects early and reduce production incidents.
• Apply Agile methodologies in daily ceremonies to refine testing scope collaborate with engineers and enhance continuous delivery practices in hybrid work settings.
• Develop and maintain reusable test data strategies for issuer accounts card products and payment messages to support repeatable and efficient validation cycles.
• Review defects triage outcomes and partner with engineering and product peers to prioritize remediation that protects customer experience and operational efficiency.
• Prepare clear test summary reports and risk assessments to communicate release readiness and quality trends to stakeholders in business and technology teams.
• Validate payment message structures including ISO style formats SWIFT messages and related schemas when available to ensure interoperability and compliance with industry standards.
• Mentor junior quality engineers on test design techniques domain concepts in issuer processing and wire payments and effective use of HP ALM Xray and Postman tools.

Qualifications

• Possess a bachelor degree or equivalent experience in information technology computer science or related field with a focus on software quality engineering.
• Bring between seven and eleven years of hands on experience in testing complex enterprise applications using Agile methodologies across multiple release cycles.
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in HP ALM for requirement traceability test design execution tracking and defect lifecycle management in enterprise environments.
• Show practical expertise in Xray Test Management including test repositories reusable test sets and integrated reporting within collaborative development platforms.
• Exhibit advanced skills in mobile testing on iOS and Android including native app validation responsive layouts accessibility checks and device specific compatibility.
• Display proven experience using Postman for API test automation parameterization environment management and verification of payment related service responses.
• Apply solid SQL knowledge to design data validation queries reconcile ledger entries and verify consistency of issuer and wire payment transactions across systems.
• Bring mandatory domain experience in issuer and issuer processor operations and wire payments with clear understanding of authorization clearing settlement and exception handling.
• Hold good familiarity with payment message formats including industry standard structures and SWIFT style practices to support validation of payment flows whenever applicable.
• Demonstrate strong analytical communication and collaboration abilities suited for hybrid work models and day shift engagements in a multinational organization.

Certifications Required

ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level or equivalent software testing certification preferred along with any Agile testing credential
