ABB in Bangalore, India seeks a Test Manager to define, lead, and continually improve the QA strategy across the product lifecycle. You will drive test automation, implement continuous testing, and ensure quality and release readiness.

You will work with Product Management, Architects, Developers, and Support teams to embed quality from early development through maintenance in a hybrid work model.

Formación

• Diploma / B.E./B.Tech with 8+ years in Industrial automation and exposure to DCS/SCADA systems (e.g., 800xA, Symphony+) and Historian products.
• Strong expertise in software testing and QA with experience leading testing activities/teams.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, test management, planning, defect management, and risk-based testing.
• SDLC understanding with experience in Agile environments.
• Practical experience with test automation, automation frameworks, and continuous testing.
• Good understanding of CI/CD and DevOps integration for testing in pipelines.

The work model for the role is: #LI-HybridThis role is contributing to the Process Automation business for Process Control Platform division based in Bangalore, IndiaYou will be mainly accountable for:Defining and maintaining the overall test strategy, test plans, quality objectives, and testing processes for the product.Planning and coordinating testing activities across product releases, including functional, integration, system, regression, performance, reliability, and other relevant testing.Driving the adoption and continuous improvement of test automation to improve test coverage, efficiency, and release confidence.Promoting shift-left and continuous testing practices, ensuring quality considerations are incorporated early in the development lifecycle.Working closely with development teams to ensure appropriate coverage at different test levels and effective integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.Qualifications for the role :Diploma / Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) with 8+ years of experience in Industrial automation domain with exposure to DCS/SCADA systems (e.g., 800xA, Symphony+ or similar) and Historian products (e.g. Ability History, 800xA History or similar)Strong expertise in software testing, quality assurance with demonstrated experience leading testing activities and/or teams.Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, test management, test planning, defect management, and risk-based testing.Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and experience working in Agile development environments.Practical experience with test automation, automation frameworks, and continuous testing.Good understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices and how testing is integrated into modern software delivery pipelines.More about us :ABB is an international technology firm that supports the transformation of society and industry for a more productive, sustainable future.
