Job summary

Mphasis is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong Core Java, Selenium, REST API, and Playwright to automate web UI testing. The role requires hands-on Java and building scalable automation frameworks within an Agile environment.

You will expand test coverage for applications tested manually, leverage AWS services, and collaborate with QA analysts and developers to design robust test solutions. Prior experience with Cypress, Jira, and ALM is a plus.

Qualifications

• Build and expand web UI automation for applications currently tested manually using Selenium or Playwright with POM.
• Experience with Cypress.
• Good knowledge of AWS services.
• Hands-on Java concepts and programming.
• Capabilities to develop small utility tools in Java.
• Experience in developing automation frameworks.
• Experience in BDD and TestNG.
• Knowledge of automated testing processes, software development lifecycles, data structures and algorithms.
• Independently design, develop and enhance test automation scripts/framework.
• Ability to conduct root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with QA analysts and software developers to develop solutions.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum/Kanban environments.
• Experience with Jira and ALM.
• Good knowledge of SQL queries.
• Ensure scripts align with best practices and testability.
• Work with developers and testers to create automated tests across the application.
• Expand automation framework to add capabilities and improve systems.
• Actively participate in an agile development process.

• Actively participate in an agile development process
