Overview

Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Lead responsible for leading test automation initiatives, building and maintaining automation frameworks, and delivering high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation efforts with Java-based test automation, applying OOP concepts, design patterns, and programming fundamentals.
• Develop frameworks from scratch or modify existing ones; provide hands-on leadership in framework design and implementation.
• Manage and mentor automation teams; drive delivery in an independent manner.
• Design and implement API automation testing using tools such as SOAP UI, Postman, etc.
• Apply strong programming logic and problem-solving skills to real-world testing challenges.
• Develop and maintain automated tests using Selenium WebDriver, BDD, and JavaScript as needed.
• Hands-on experience with Maven, GitHub, Jenkins, and TestNG; enable continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
• Debug issues effectively and provide actionable solutions for practical problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate findings clearly; contribute to quality improvements.
• Manual testing experience on web applications is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5-8 years in software test automation; 8-10 years is described in the original content and reflected here as part of overall expertise.
• Strong hands-on experience in developing or modifying automation frameworks (4+ years).
• Significant exposure to API automation (SOAP UI, Postman, etc.).
• Proficient in Java programming, OOP concepts, design patterns, and data structures (e.g., ArrayList, HashSet, serialization).
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver; familiarity with BDD and JavaScript.
• Experience with Maven, GitHub, Jenkins, and TestNG.
• Ability to debug and provide solutions for practical problems; capable of owning and delivering with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills.
