Job summary

Google Operations Center is seeking a QA tester to design and execute test strategies, validate UI/UX across devices, and track defects from discovery to resolution. You will collaborate with product teams on sprint planning and releases, leveraging automation where possible to boost efficiency and ensure quality.

The role requires 2–5 years of manual testing experience, familiarity with Jira/TestRail/Confluence, and a basic understanding of SQL and Postman APIs.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in manual software testing (Web and/or Mobile).
  • Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (Jira, TestRail, Confluence).
  • Basic understanding of databases (SQL) and APIs (Postman) is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, write, and execute test cases for functional, regression, and integration testing.
  • Validate UI/UX consistency across browsers and mobile devices.
  • Participate in release planning and sign off on builds before production releases.
  • Document, report, and track software defects using tools like Jira, and verify fixes.
  • Participate in sprint planning and product reviews to provide QA feedback.
  • Build and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications (nice to have).

Role Overview

In this role, you will design and execute test strategies to ensure software quality, validate UI/UX consistency, and track defects from discovery to resolution. You will collaborate with product teams on sprint planning and release sign-offs, while leveraging automation tools to enhance testing efficiency and support seamless product delivery.

Position Responsibilities
  • Test Strategy: Design, write, and execute comprehensive test cases and checklists covering functional, regression, and integration testing.
  • User Advocacy: Validate user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) consistency across different browsers and mobile devices.
  • Release Support: Participate in release planning and sign off on builds before production releases.
  • Bug Tracking: Document, report, and track software defects thoroughly using tools like Jira, and verify fixes once resolved.
  • Collaboration: Participate in sprint planning and product reviews to provide early QA feedback on proposed features.
  • Automation (good to have): Build and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications to increase testing efficiency.
Minimum Requirements
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in manual software testing (Web and/or Mobile apps).
  • Tools: Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Confluence).
  • Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of databases (SQL) and APIs (Postman) is a strong plus.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
