Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer in Bengaluru to drive automation across Selenium, API tests and BDD with Cucumber. The role requires strong Java skills, REST testing, and REST Assured proficiency to deliver robust test coverage for BFS projects.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable automation frameworks, ensuring high quality releases in a dynamic banking/financial domain.

Qualifications

• 5-9 years of hands-on experience in Selenium, API automation and BDD with Cucumber.
• Strong working knowledge of Core Java.
• Experience in web services testing (REST).
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming techniques.
• Knowledge in BFS domain (Banking/Financial Services).
• Experience with REST Assured.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute automated test scripts using Selenium and BDD with Cucumber.
• Design, implement and maintain API automation tests.
• Validate RESTful services and ensure test coverage for web services.
• Apply solid OO programming practices in test code.
• Collaborate with QA and development teams in BFS projects.
• Leverage REST Assured for API validation and reliability.
