Overview

Test Engineer - L3 role at Wipro. The purpose of this role is to prepare test cases and perform testing of the product/platform/solution to be deployed at a client end and ensure it meets 100% quality assurance parameters.

Responsibilities

• Instrumental in understanding the test requirements and test case design of the product. Authoring test planning with knowledge on business requirements and corresponding testable requirements. Implementation of Wipro's testing approach using Model based testing and efficient test generation. Ensure test cases are peer reviewed and minimize rework. Collaborate with the development team to identify and capture test cases, and manage versioning. Define testing criteria, parameters, scope/out-of-scope, and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Design and execute automation framework and reporting. Develop and automate tests for software validation by setting up test environments, designing test plans, developing test cases/scenarios/usage cases, and executing these cases. Ensure defects are described and replicated clearly, and align with project/program/account norms. Detect bug issues, prepare defect reports, and report test progress. Ensure delivered work items meet Wipro/Customer SLAs and norms. Design and timely release test status dashboards to stakeholders. Provide usability/maintainability feedback and trace results to quality risk for stakeholders.
• Status reporting and customer focus on an ongoing basis with respect to testing and execution. Maintain quality interactions with customers (email, fault reports, calls, etiquette), ensure on-time deliveries (WSRs, test execution reports, dashboards), and keep trackers updated (eCube, TMS, etc.). Respond promptly to customer requests and maintain a record free of complaints.
