Job Purpose

Test Engineer will be part of an agile development team, to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. S/He will design and implement tests, carry out debugging, and define corrective actions. S/he will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics.

Key Responsibility

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well‑structured test plans and test cases.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and execute unit and integration testing activities including post‑release / post‑implementation testing.
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using testing tools.
• Evaluate product code according to specifications.
• Identify, record, document (testing phase logs etc.) thoroughly and track bugs.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.

• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet organizational needs.
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
• Investigate the causes of non‑conforming software and train users to implement solutions.

Required Experience

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience as Test Engineer / Tester
• Experience and good understanding of software development and development processes
• Hands‑on experience of:

• Black box and white box testing
• Automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium)
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Knowledge of SQL and scripting
