Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Chennai is seeking a Tester with Cards (Prime) or Retail Banking domain to join offshore delivery. You will design and execute test cases, perform functional, regression and integration testing, validate banking workflows, and collaborate with analysts, developers and product owners.

Requires 4–5+ years of testing experience, with 3+ years in Retail Banking or Cards, strong knowledge of banking products, and hands-on with JIRA/ALM/Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, specifications and user stories.
• Design, prepare, and execute test cases, test scenarios and test data.
• Perform Functional, Regression, Integration and End-to-End testing.
• Validate retail banking workflows and card workflows.
• Log, track and retest defects using defect tracking tools.
• Collaborate with BAs, Developers and POs to ensure quality deliverables.
• Support SIT, UAT and production validation activities.
• Prepare test execution reports and status updates.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide testing estimates.

Role: Tester with Cards (Prime) or Retail Banking domain

Experience Range: 4 / 5+ Years

Location: Offshore – Chennai

Grade: BPO 4 / 5 / 6

Notice Period: Immediate only

Work week: Sunday to Thursday (Weekend off would be on Friday & Saturday)

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
• Design, prepare, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test data.
• Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, and End-to-End testing.
• Validate retail banking workflows
• Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect management tools.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Support SIT, UAT, and production validation activities.
• Prepare test execution reports and status updates.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide testing estimates.

Skills required:

• 5–6 years of software testing experience with at least 3+ years in Retail Banking or Cards.
• Strong knowledge of retail banking products and processes:
  • CASA (Savings & Current Accounts)
  • Deposits (FD/RD)
  • Loans (Personal, Home, Vehicle)
  • Payments & Transfers
  • Customer Onboarding/KYC
  • Digital Banking (Internet & Mobile Banking)
• Experience in Functional Testing, Regression Testing, and SIT.
• Good understanding of SDLC and STLC methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, ALM, or Azure DevOps.
