Job summary

LTM in Chennai is seeking an experienced engineer to design, build and operate the automated testing capability for a complex cloud platform with multi-region validation and monthly releases.

The role focuses on creating an automation framework from scratch, converting high-value regression into automated validation, and integrating testing into CI/CD across regions.

You will investigate distributed failures and use AI coding agents effectively to enhance test coverage and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a scalable cloud test automation framework from the ground up
• Build reusable API clients resource factories validators environment configuration test data handling diagnostics and cleanup capabilities
• Automate critical customer journeys across Compute Networking Storage IAM and supporting platform services
• Develop API service regression covering auth, lifecycle, pagination, concurrency, timeouts, retries and backward compatibility
• Validate not only control plane API responses but where relevant resulting infrastructure state and data plane behavior
• Build pre-upgrade baselines and regional regression validation to avoid duplication
• Integrate test tiers into CI/CD fast checks during development and nightly regression
• Design tests for parallel execution isolation deterministic setup/teardown and safe resource cleanup
• Capture actionable diagnostics on failure including API requests/responses timestamps resource identifiers and relevant platform state
• Support automated performance baselines and complex resilience/failure scenarios in cooperation with Development and Operations

AI assisted test engineering cloud automation CICD integration and multi region validation

Role purpose

Design build and operate the automated testing capability for a complex cloud platform operating across five independent locations with monthly releases and additionally continuously evolve the test coverage as new platform features are introduced The role will create the automation framework from scratch convert high value regression into reliable automated validation integrate testing into CICD and enable the same test system to qualify every region

The successful candidate must be able to design maintainable software understand cloud infrastructure and APIs investigate distributed system failures and use modern AI coding agents effectively without relying on them blindly

Key responsibilities
