Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a Test Automation Engineer in Hyderabad to design and implement automated test scripts for complex transport networks. The role focuses on Python scripting, API testing, and integration with CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous validation across multiple layers of the system.

You will work with robotics frameworks and tools to develop scalable test suites, analyze results, and optimize testing processes in a lab and real-world networks.

Qualifications

Job Role: Test Automation Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1. Automation & Scripting Expertise
   • Strong hands-on experience in:
   • Python scripting (mandatory)
   • Experience with:
   • Automation frameworks (Robot Framework, PyTest, etc.)
   • Ability to:
   • Develop and maintain scalable, reusable test scripts
2. Transport Network Knowledge
   • Strong understanding of:
   • Optical transport (DWDM/CWDM basics)
   • Fibre network fundamentals
   • IP/MPLS networking concepts
   • Ability to:
   • Automate testing across multi-layer transport environments
3. Test Automation Frameworks
   • Experience in:
   • Designing and implementing automation frameworks
   • Ability to Automate:
