• Act as a technical consultant and SME for test automation initiatives.
• Translate business and testing requirements into effective automation solutions.
• Assess current automation landscapes and propose architecture, tools, and process improvements.
• Define automation roadmaps, approaches, and best practices.
• Lead discussions, solution workshops, and proofs-of-concept for automation.
• Evaluate tools, technologies, and frameworks based on project needs.
• Design and architect scalable, reusable automation frameworks.
• Guide automation across UI, API, mobile, services, and testing layers.
• Ensure frameworks integrate with CI/CD and DevOps pipelines.
• Drive modernization and continuous improvement of automation capabilities.

Job description

• - Act as a technical consultant and subject matter expert for test automation initiatives.
• - Understand business, application, and testing requirements and translate them into effective automation solutions.
• - Assess existing automation landscapes and recommend improvements in terms of architecture, tools, processes, scalability, and maintainability.
• - Define automation approaches, roadmaps, implementation strategies, and best practices.
• - Conduct technical discussions, solution workshops, and proof-of-concepts for automation initiatives.
• - Evaluate and recommend appropriate automation tools, technologies, and frameworks based on project requirements.
• ?- Design and architect scalable, reusable, maintainable, and robust automation frameworks.
• - Lead the development and implementation of automation frameworks across UI, API, mobile, services, and other testing layers as applicable.
• - Define framework architecture, coding standards, design patterns, reusable components, and best practices.
• - Ensure automation frameworks are designed for easy integration with CI/CD and DevOps pipelines.
• - Drive framework modernization and continuous improvement initiatives.
• - Identify and resolve challenges related to framework performance, stability, scalability, and maintainability.
• ?- Provide technical direction and guidance to automation engineers and QA teams.
• - Guide teams on automation strategy, framework structure, design, development, coding practices, debugging, and implementation.
• - Review automation architecture, technical designs, and code to ensure adherence to defined standards.
• - Act as the escalation point for complex automation and framework-related technical issues.
• - Mentor team members and help build strong automation engineering capabilities.
• - Support teams in making appropriate technical decisions and selecting the right approach for challenging automation scenarios.

• - Experience establishing or contributing to an Automation Center of Excellence (CoE).
• - Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• - Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other modern DevOps technologies.
• - Experience with performance, security, accessibility, or other specialized testing areas.
• - Relevant testing, automation, Agile, or cloud certifications would be an advantage.
• - Strong technical leadership and mentoring skills.
