Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a Test Architect to lead quality engineering initiatives and design scalable automated testing across complex environments. You will bridge QA, DevOps, and Development, building robust CI/CD pipelines and containerized test environments in Kubernetes.

Strong Perl/Python scripting, cloud familiarity, and AI-enabled testing will drive automation efficiency. You will mentor QA engineers, oversee non-functional testing, and ensure data integrity for AI features while advancing

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in designing and implementing test automation strategies.
• Strong scripting ability across Perl or Python and shell scripts.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and test environments.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the overall test automation strategy, architecture, best practices across multiple engineering teams, worked in a product based company
• Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks, utilizing Perl or Python for powerful scripting, text processing, and test harness management.
• Cloud & Container Orchestration: Architect test environments within Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure). Provision and manage dynamic, scalable testing infrastructure using Docker and Kubernetes (K8s).
• AI Quality & Enablement: Develop testing strategies for AI/ML-driven features, ensuring model accuracy and data integrity.Furthermore, evaluate and integrate AI-assisted testing tools to optimize test generation, self-healing automation, and predictive analytics.
• Mentorship: Act as a technical subject matter expert, mentoring QA engineers and SDETs in automation best practices, scripting, and cloud technologies.
• Performance & Security: Oversee non-functional testing strategies, including load, performance, and security testing within distributed cloud systems.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and networking concepts
• Debug and analyze issues in memory consumption, disk i/o, network issues
• Good to have experience in handling - NIS/NFS/SAMBA/DNS/AD
• Mid to Advanced administration and scripting skills on UNIX and Linux, Perl.
• Experience developing automation using PERL, shell scripting, Python, HCL One Test or equivalent, and GUI automation using Selenium/Cucumber, Server-side automation
