As a Territory Manager - Sales at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd within the Farm Division, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and presence of our farm mechanization solutions among farmers, particularly those with larger land holdings.

  • Generate and convert enquiries related to the Mahindra portfolio, ensuring tailored solutions that meet the specific needs of high land-holding farmers.
  • Provide expert guidance on farm mechanization across various crop growth stages, emphasizing the benefits and application of our product range.
  • Act as a trusted partner to farmers by demonstrating proof of concept through live demos and showcasing the superior performance and efficiency of Mahindra tractors combined with our implements.
  • Identify and cultivate new revenue streams by understanding emerging opportunities within the agricultural sector and aligning them with farmer requirements.
  • Lead initiatives to upskill local labourers and tractor operators, enhancing their proficiency in safely and effectively operating farm machinery, thereby improving productivity and operational sustainability.
  • Develop and promote bundled solution selling strategies to maximize value propositions and strengthen brand loyalty among customers.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service, timely order execution, and resolution of any operational challenges that may arise.
  • Maintain comprehensive data on market trends, customer feedback, and sales performance, using insights to fine-tune sales tactics and contribute to annual business planning.

This role demands a strategic approach to market penetration and an ability to build strong, trust-based relationships with farmers while demonstrating a deep understanding of their challenges and opportunities within the agricultural landscape.

Significant experience is essential for success in this role, including:

  • Proven track record in sales or business development within the agricultural or farm mechanization sector, ideally focusing on farmers with sizeable land holdings.
  • Experience in customer relationship management, lead generation, and revenue growth in agribusiness contexts.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate multiple sales initiatives, including promotional campaigns and product demonstrations.
  • Hands-on exposure to training or capacity-building programmes aimed at improving labour skills in machinery operation or agricultural practices.
  • Sound knowledge of market intelligence gathering and competitive analysis to maintain a strong positioning of product offerings.
  • Comfortable working with data reporting tools and maintaining detailed documentation to support strategic decision-making.

The breadth of experience should reflect an understanding of farming operations, customer-centric sales approaches, and operational excellence within a diverse and dynamic agricultural marketplace.
