Job summary

Weekday 1 invites an energetic Territory Incharge to lead sales operations across Palakkad and surrounding markets. You will develop and manage a dealer network, drive channel sales, and identify new business opportunities to achieve revenue targets.

The role requires strong market knowledge, excellent negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to travel regularly to support dealers and expand market presence.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of experience in sales or channel management.
• Experience in dealer/distributor-led environments preferred.
• Willingness to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow the assigned territory by developing effective business development and sales strategies.
• Identify, appoint, onboard, and manage dealers, distributors, and channel partners to expand market reach.
• Drive channel sales by achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
• Develop strong relationships with existing dealers and identify opportunities to increase business volumes.
• Conduct regular market visits to understand customer requirements, competitor activities, pricing trends, and market opportunities.
• Generate new business opportunities through market mapping, lead generation, referrals, and channel expansion.
• Ensure proper product availability and distribution across the assigned territory.
• Work closely with dealers to improve secondary sales, customer engagement, and overall market penetration.
• Monitor dealer performance, sales pipelines, stock levels, and revenue contribution.
• Negotiate commercial terms with channel partners while maintaining healthy business relationships and profitability.
• Conduct product presentations, dealer meetings, promotional activities, and market activation programs.
• Coordinate with internal teams including sales, marketing, supply chain, finance, and customer support to ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare regular sales reports, territory updates, forecasts, and competitor analysis for management.
• Resolve dealer and customer issues promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction and retention.
• Track market trends and recommend strategies for improving sales performance and expanding the dealer network.

Must-Have Skills

• Dealer Management: Strong experience in developing, managing, and expanding dealer/distributor networks.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have 3–10 years of experience in sales, business development, territory management, dealer management, or channel sales. Experience in a dealer/distributor-led business environment will be highly preferred.

The candidate should be proactive, commercially aware, and comfortable with extensive market travel. A strong understanding of the local market and an established network of dealers or distributors will be an added advantage.
