Job summary

Intellectual Capital HR Consulting Pvt. Ltd. seeks a Territory Business Manager for Working Capital in Mumbai. You will lead a team of Relationship Managers, drive growth in SME and corporate banking, and deliver tailored working capital solutions such as CC, OD, DL, LC, BG, and trade finance.

The role requires MBA or CA, 7+ years in Working Capital/Corporate Banking, strong credit and sales expertise, and excellent stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• MBA or CA preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in Working Capital, SME Banking, Corporate Banking, or Commercial Banking.
• Strong background in Credit and Sales with the ability to structure and sell working capital solutions.
• Experience in selling products such as OD, CC, Demand Loans, LC, BG, and Import/Export Finance.
• Proven team handling and leadership experience.
• Strong relationship management and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand client businesses and provide appropriate working capital solutions across fund-based and non-fund-based products such as Cash Credit, Overdraft, Demand Loan, Bank Guarantee, Letter of Credit, and Import/Export Finance.
• Work closely with Branch Banking teams to acquire new customers and support closure of cases.
• Drive penetration of banking products across primary relationships and group companies.
• Build and strengthen relationships with CFOs and Promoters to enhance client trust and business opportunities.
• Increase portfolio size and profitability by driving business growth across markets and hubs.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities by understanding client models, trade cycles, and financing needs.
• Stay updated on market competition and strengthen the organization’s presence.

Territory Business Manager Working Capital (WC)

Department: Working Capital (WC)
Location: Mumbai
Reporting Relationship: Will have a team reporting to the role and will report to the Area Business Manager (ABM).

Job Role

• Understand client businesses and provide appropriate working capital solutions across fund-based and non-fund-based products such as Cash Credit (CC), Overdraft (OD), Demand Loan (DL), Bank Guarantee (BG), Letter of Credit (LC), and Import/Export Finance.
• Work closely with Branch Banking teams to acquire new customers and ensure closure of cases where Relationship Managers require support.
• Drive penetration of banking products including Current Accounts, Term Deposits, Transaction Banking, and Trade Finance across primary relationships and group companies.
• Build and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers, including CFOs and Promoters, to enhance client trust and business opportunities.
• Continuously increase portfolio size and profitability by driving business growth across key markets and business hubs.
• Understand client business models, trade cycles, cash flows, and financing requirements to identify cross-sell and relationship expansion opportunities.
• Stay updated on market competition and strengthen the organization's presence within the target segments.
• Deliver high standards of client servicing and relationship management.
• Drive operational efficiency through continuous process improvements.
• Coordinate closely with internal operating teams to develop customized banking solutions for clients.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Relationship Managers while ensuring achievement of individual and team business targets.
• Monitor daily business updates, pipeline progress, follow-ups, and resolve team queries to ensure smooth execution.

Candidate Requirements

• Preferably MBA or CA.
• 7+ years of experience in the local market, preferably in Working Capital, SME Banking, Corporate Banking, or Commercial Banking.
• Strong background in Credit and Sales with the ability to structure and sell working capital solutions.
• Experience in selling products such as OD, CC, Demand Loans, LC, BG, and Import/Export Finance.
• Proven team handling and leadership experience.
• Strong relationship management and stakeholder management skills.
• Good influencing, negotiation, and business development skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
