Hitachi ABB Power Grids is seeking a Systems Tendering Specialist for INOPC PG to join the India-based Operation Center in India. The role focuses on analyzing customer needs, preparing BOMs, providing cost estimations, and shaping bid strategy to optimize value across ABB markets.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics with 5–10 years of tendering experience, strong telecom knowledge (SDH/PDH/Ethernet/MPLS-TP), and excellent analytical and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics.
• 5–10 years of tendering experience.
• Sound knowledge in Telecom (SDH / PDH/Ethernet/MPLS-TP).
• Knowledge on Power Line Carrier Communication and Tele protection.
• Experience with Electrical Utility Customers is an advantage.
• Prior engineering & tendering to handle tenders and manage risk.
• Strong awareness of quality and standardization incl. Re-use.
• Very good analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive customer experience by submitting quality deliverables on time.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Job description

As a Systems Tendering Specialist for INOPC PG you will be part of Operation Center in India (INOPCPG), aiming to develop a global value chain, where key business activities, resources and expertise are shared across geographic boundaries in order to optimize value for ABB customers across markets. It provides high quality engineering and commissioning support to Business Units and Center of Excellence across the ABB world. This is an important step from ABB’s Global Foot Print strategy. PG Operation Center Services are System design, Primary side design, Secondary side design, Sourcing, Tendering, Installation and commissioning.

How you’ll make an impact:

• Analyze customer needs and Prepare Bill of Materials, deviation list and detailed product configurations.
