Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Bengaluru, India, seeks a Systems Tendering Specialist to join the INOPC PG, part of the Operation Center. You will help build a global value chain, providing high-quality design and tendering support across ABB units and centers of excellence.

The role focuses on cost estimation, bid strategy, and risk assessment while ensuring compliance and timely delivery. A background in electrical electronics with 5–10 years of experience and telecom knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical electronics.
• 5–10 years of experience in related roles.
• Sound knowledge in Telecom (SDH/PDH/Ethernet/MPLS-TP).
• Knowledge on Power Line Carrier Communication and Tele protection.
• Experience with Electrical Utility Customers is a plus.
• Tendering experience to handle tenders and manage risk assessments.
• Very high awareness of quality and standardization incl. re-use.
• Very good analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer needs and prepare Bill of Materials, deviation list and detailed product configurations.
• Deliver accurate cost estimations as per tender scope of work.
• Elaborate bid prices and offering strategy in coordination with team manager.
• Participate in the Risk Review process as needed according to company policy.
• Verify the commercial and legal interests of the offer with Front end Sales and Commercial legal advisor.
• Promote process feedback to the organization.
• Submit quality deliverables on time to promote a positive customer experience.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

The opportunity:

As a Systems Tendering Specialist for INOPC PG you will be part of Operation Center in India (INOPCPG), aiming to develop a global value chain, where key business activities, resources and expertise are shared across geographic boundaries in order to optimize value for ABB customers across markets. It provides high quality engineering and commissioning support to Business Units and Center of Excellence across the ABB world. This is an important step from ABBs Global Foot Print strategy. PG Operation Center Services are System design, Primary side design, Secondary side design, Sourcing, Tendering, Installation and commissioning.

How youll make an impact:

• Analyze customer needs and Prepare Bill of Materials, deviation list and detailed product configurations.

• In coordination with the team manager, elaborate bid prices and offering strategy.

Your background:

• As prior engineering tendering experience, to handle tenders and manage risk assessments.
