As a leader in Space Surveillance and Intelligence, we deliver real-time, actionable insights to ensure secure and sustainable use of Earth’s orbits. Our cutting-edge platform integrates advanced space-based detection, tracking, and monitoring to provide unparalleled domain awareness across all orbital regimes. At the cutting edge of this technology, Digantara is building hardware and mission-critical software. But behind every successful team is an invisible engine that keeps projects moving with clarity, speed, and precision.

Digantara is seeking a highly disciplined and technically proficient Operator to support real-time operations of our ground-based telescope infrastructure for Resident Space Object (RSO) detection. The selected candidate will be responsible for executing observation schedules, monitoring system health, validating data integrity, and coordinating with mission control and subsystem leads to ensure seamless Space Situational Awareness (SSA) operations.

This role is mission-critical and demands precision, situational awareness, and a strong understanding of operational workflows, IT infrastructure, remote operation systems & hardware operations.

Why Us:
  • Be part of a collaborative and innovative environment where your ideas and skills make a real difference to the entire space realm.

  • Execute observation schedules and dynamically adjust based on orbital events or tasking updates

  • Perform system health checks, diagnostics, and fault isolation procedures

  • Debug and identify root causes of issues on remote systems across Windows and Linux environments

  • Utilize command-line interfaces for system operations, log retrieval, and configuration tasks

  • Validate incoming telemetry and sensor data for completeness, accuracy, and timestamp integrity

  • Document operational logs, anomalies, and assist in establishing SoPs for observatory workflows

  • Participate as a QA gatekeeper for in-house software releases, ensuring stability and operational readiness

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical, Electronics, Computer Science, Physics, or related technical field (or) Diploma in similar fields as above with relevant work experience

  • 1+ years of experience in time-sensitive operational systems like satellite ground operations, radar systems, or astronomical observatories

  • Experience with ground station control software, telemetry systems, and RF signal chains

  • Familiarity with Python for scripting, automation, and data validation tasks

Preferred Qualities:
  • Exposure to CCSDS standards and telemetry packet structures

Understanding of time synchronization protocols (e.g., NTP, GPS time)

  • Familiarity with basics of orbital mechanics, TLEs, and SSA data formats (e.g., CDM, RSO catalogs)

  • High attention to detail and operational discipline

  • Strong situational awareness and ability to respond to dynamic mission conditions

  • Proactive mindset with a bias toward documentation and process improvement

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity protocols and data handling best practices

General Requirements:
