Job summary

ANZ Bengaluru is seeking an Analyst in Technology Risk Intelligence to support day-to-day data, reporting and governance routines. You will gather and reconcile data, refresh dashboards, prepare draft summaries and contribute to risk oversight under supervision.

You will work with Excel, Power BI and basic scripting to maintain and document evidence packs, with hybrid work options and a focus on accuracy and traceability across governance outputs.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an analyst/support role involving data, reporting, risk, or technology.
  • Ability to extract, organise and reconcile data and identify exceptions.
  • Experience with Excel and/or Power BI and QA steps.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.
  • Clear written communication for summaries and status updates.
  • Tertiary qualifications in data/analytics, technology, cyber risk, or business/finance.
  • Awareness of technology and cyber risk concepts.
  • Exposure to automation (Excel Power Query) and/or scripting (SQL/Python).
  • Experience maintaining trackers and governance evidence packs.

About the Role

As an Analyst, Technology Risk Intelligence in our Risk, Group Technology team, you’ll support the Technology Risk Intelligence practice to provide day-to-day analyst support to by assisting with repeatable data, reporting and evidence routines that help the team deliver Line 2 oversight. Working under the supervision of Senior Associates/Managers to gather and organise evidence, extract and reconcile data, you’ll refresh dashboards and prepare draft summaries that support reviews, thematic work, events/issues analysis and governance packs. You’ll contribute to efficiency and repeatability by maintaining and running approved templates, scripts and automation steps (where authorised), escalating data quality issues and tool/access concerns promptly, and ensuring all outputs are quality-checked and reviewed before use in governance. What will your day look like?
  • Assisting with delivery of assigned tasks for prioritised insight routines and use-cases by following defined procedures, checklists and templates
  • Extracting, cleaning and reconciling data from approved sources, maintaining working files used for repeatable insight routines
  • Refreshing dashboards and reporting packs by updating datasets, running refresh steps and completing quality checks, escalating anomalies before distribution
  • Assisting with maintenance of approved automation (where authorized) by running scheduled steps, updating parameters and logging outcomes; escalating failures and access/tool issues promptly
  • Support stakeholder requests by gathering data and evidence, documenting assumptions, ensuring traceability to source information, and assisting with governance pack preparation, including data compilation, formatting, proofreading, and draft narrative development
  • Assisting with thematic reviews and events/issues analysis by collating data and evidence, preparing draft summaries and supporting basic trend/exceptions analysis under supervision
  • Supporting uplift tracking routines (e.g., PACT-aligned measures) by updating trackers, compiling evidence and preparing draft updates for review
  • Operating as a developing analyst, building capability in data handling, dashboarding, documentation and risk concepts through coaching and on-the-job learning
What will you bring?
  • Experience (or demonstrated capability) in an analyst/support role involving data, reporting, operations, risk, assurance or technology within a complex environment
  • Basic analytical skills: ability to extract, organise and reconcile data and identify exceptions for review
  • Exposure to reporting tools (e.g., Excel and/or Power BI) and ability to follow defined refresh and QA steps
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline, including evidence referencing and version control
  • Clear written communication skills to draft simple summaries and status updates for review
  • Tertiary qualifications (or working toward) in a relevant discipline (data/analytics, technology, cyber security, engineering, risk, or business/finance) Good to have’ knowledge, skills and experiences
  • Awareness of technology and cyber risk concepts and common control practices
  • Exposure to basic automation (e.g., Excel Power Query) and/or simple scripting (SQL/Python) in a governed environment
  • Experience maintaining trackers, logs and evidence packs for governance, audit or assurance activities
