Microsoft Industry Solutions Delivery (ISD) is a global organization with more than 6,000 strategic sellers, engineers, architects, consultants, and data scientists. Working alongside partners, the team supports Microsoft’s key customers worldwide by addressing complex challenges and delivering industry-specific technology solutions.
ISD focuses on helping organizations progress through digital and AI transformation. The team delivers repeatable and customized solutions through strategic engagements powered by Microsoft Cloud and AI technologies.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the pre-sales phase when required by contributing domain knowledge and technical expertise.
- Support project scoping by sharing customer insights and technical guidance as a subject matter contributor.
Technical Delivery
- Follow the capacity process defined by the Resource, Insights, Capacity, and Capability (RICC) team and maintain tools with updated skills and availability.
- Participate in or lead discussions with customers and partners to understand business requirements and scenarios.
- Use business, industry, and technology insights to define requirements and constraints while collaborating with internal teams.
- Support project planning and documentation by identifying dependencies and risks.
- Communicate the business value of proposed solutions and help implement mitigation plans for technical or operational risks.
- Deliver assigned tasks aligned with the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and follow Industry Solutions processes.
- Implement technical solutions that meet defined quality standards and oversee parts of the implementation.
- Identify potential issues or risks early and work with customers, partners, or project stakeholders to resolve them.
- Manage relationships with customers and stakeholders to address satisfaction drivers and implement improvement actions.
Intellectual Property Management
- Promote the use of existing intellectual property (IP) within projects.
- Contribute to the creation of new IP content and highlight opportunities for further development.
- Provide feedback on areas where IP requires updates or improvement.
Business Development
- Identify opportunities that support wider adoption of Microsoft cloud technologies and services.
Readiness
- Continuously learn emerging technologies and services based on business needs and industry trends.
- Pursue relevant certifications such as Azure, Security, or Dynamics as recommended by leadership.
- Share knowledge, product updates, and best practices with the team and participate in internal technical communities.
Operational Excellence
- Complete operational and readiness tasks with accuracy and within timelines.
- Follow Microsoft policies, compliance requirements, and operational procedures including authorization policies, standards of conduct, labor logging, expenses, and travel guidelines.
Other
- Demonstrate Microsoft’s culture and values in daily work.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 6 to 36 months of relevant work experience, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical certifications related to Azure, Security, Dynamics, or other relevant Microsoft technologies.
