GSK in Mumbai seeks a Technology Business Lead to steer regional technology strategy, drive digital transformation, ensure regulatory compliance, and govern cloud, data, ITSM, and security across core functions.

The Technology Business Lead is a senior internal position responsible for driving regional technology strategy, leading digital transformation initiatives, maintaining operational stability, and ensuring strict legal and regulatory compliance across core corporate functions. Operating with permanent accountability and final approval authority, this role combines strong executive stakeholder management with deep oversight over cloud and database infrastructure, ITSM workflows, and strategic growth initiatives, including imminent product launches in growth areas like Oncology.
Digital Transformation Leadership: Provide strategic vision and execution leadership to drive enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives, including AI and modernizing legacy processes and accelerating technology adoption.
Portfolio Expansion Support: Provide technical leadership and operational readiness for critical business expansion vectors, including supporting technology infrastructure for imminent product launches in Oncology.
Corporate Function Project Leadership: Direct project integration and guide technical onboarding for strategic corporate initiatives across Finance, Corporate & Government Affairs (CGA), Legal, Commercial Excellence and other related business units.
AI Initiative Driving: Spearhead the strategic evaluation, development, and integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI solutions across corporate and adjacent business functions to enhance operational efficiency and innovation.
Data Strategy & Governance: Oversee enterprise data architecture, data quality frameworks, and data integration strategy to build a scalable foundation for advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and business intelligence.
Ethical AI & Data Compliance: Establish and enforce governance frameworks for AI usage and enterprise data management, ensuring compliance with global and regional data privacy legislation (e.g., DPDP Act, GDPR).
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with C-suite and senior executive leadership across business units, serving as a trusted advisor on technology strategy.
Business & Tech Alignment: Act as the primary bridge between business leaders and technical teams, translating complex enterprise goals into actionable, scalable IT roadmaps and strategic tech investments.
Data Privacy Mandates (DPDP / GDPR): Navigate and implement non-discretionary technical and architectural frameworks required for full compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act and international standards.
Audit & Legal Compliance: Oversee Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) tracking and manage statutory compliance tools (e.g., Legatrix) to maintain full regulatory readiness.
System Ownership & Access Controls: Maintain sole internal FTE ownership over 90% of regional enterprise assets, including servers, databases, and Azure resource groups, ensuring top-tier security and governance.
ServiceNow Platform Governance: Direct and oversee core ServiceNow processes including Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Risk & Control Assessments (RCA), Incident Management, and Knowledge Management for all regional tech services.
Managed Services Leadership: Partner with and manage strategic external service providers (e.g., EY) to ensure seamless operational execution, SLA compliance, and high service quality.
Cross-Charge & Resource Provisioning: Lead the financial cross-charging architecture for technology services and oversee IT resource provisioning to optimize asset utilization and budget allocation.
