Job summary

Luxoft is seeking a Techno-Functional Data Analyst with strong Banking and Financial Services expertise to join a Commercial / Corporate Banking delivery programme. You will investigate and analyse data across multiple systems, translate business requirements into clear data mappings, and ensure data quality throughout data flows.

The role requires hands-on SQL and data-analysis skills, plus comfort with APIs, JSON, interfaces and batch/data feeds.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of overall industry experience.
• 5+ years of relevant Banking/Financial Services experience (Commercial/Corporate Banking).
• Strong SQL and data analysis across multiple tables and sources.
• Good understanding of databases, data structures and data models.
• Experience in data mapping, source-to-target analysis, profiling, reconciliation and data-quality analysis.
• Ability to translate business requirements into data requirements and mappings.
• Ability to assess upstream and downstream impacts when data sources or mappings change.
• Experience with data sourcing and end-to-end data flows across applications.
• Ability to collaborate with BAs, Developers, Architects and Data Engineering teams.
• Experience validating calculations, mappings, and data behaviour.
• Familiarity with APIs, interfaces, database tables, SQL, JSON and batch/data feeds.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear communication to stakeholders.
• Experience with Agile, JIRA, and Confluence.

We are seeking a Techno-Functional Data Analyst with strong Banking and Financial Services expertise to join a Commercial / Corporate Banking delivery programme. Sitting at the intersection of business and data, you will investigate and analyse data across multiple systems, tables and sources, translate business requirements and rules into clear data requirements and mappings, and ensure that data flowing through the banking landscape is accurate, well-understood and fit for purpose.

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role suited to an analyst who combines strong SQL and data-analysis skills with a solid grasp of technical concepts — APIs, interfaces, database tables, JSON and batch/data feeds — and the communication skills to explain technical and data findings clearly to business stakeholders.

Data analysis & requirements

• Investigate and analyse data across multiple tables and sources, using strong SQL to answer business and delivery questions.
• Understand business requirements and business rules and translate them into clear data requirements and mappings.
• Perform data mapping, source-to-target analysis, data profiling, reconciliation and data-quality analysis.
• Analyse upstream and downstream impacts when data sources, attributes or mappings change.

Technical understanding & data flows

• Develop and maintain a good understanding of databases, data structures and data models.
• Understand data sourcing and end-to-end data flows across applications.
• Work comfortably with technical concepts such as APIs, interfaces, database tables, SQL, JSON and batch/data feeds.

Validation & issue resolution

Validate business calculations, transformations, field mappings and data behaviour against requirements.

Investigate data issues and work with BAs, Developers, Architects and Data Engineering teams to identify and deliver solutions.

Collaboration & communication

Collaborate within an Agile delivery team, capturing analysis, mappings and decisions in JIRA and Confluence.

Communicate technical and data findings clearly and concisely to business stakeholders.

Must have
