Wissen Technology is seeking an IT Business Analyst with 5-7 years of banking and payments experience to design functional solutions. The role emphasizes cross-border payments, settlements, and reconciliation, along with strong SQL, API, and Jira usage.

The ideal candidate will craft user stories from product requirements and collaborate with tech and product teams to deliver seamless payment flows and accurate trade life-cycle handling.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of Business Analysis experience in Banking, Payments, FinTech, or BFSI.
• Strong understanding of Funding, Transfers, Settlement, and Reconciliation processes.
• Experience with payment systems and transaction lifecycle management.
• Proficiency in requirement gathering, BRD/FRD creation, and stakeholder management.
• Working knowledge of SQL, APIs, Jira, and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Job description

The position we have is for an IT BA, so candidates with primarily an Operations background generally may not be the right fit. The expectation is for the BA to create clear user stories along with functional solutions.

For our project, we prefer BAs with a payments background, particularly in Cross-Border Payments, Settlements, Accounting, Fund Checks, ISO Messaging, Statements, and Notifications, as our flows are designed around these functionalities. An understanding of the Trade Life Cycle is an added advantage; however, the primary skills should be around the areas mentioned above. A techno-functional profile would also be preferred.

This is important because when we receive high-level requirements from the Product team, the BA is expected to formulate a functional solution rather than simply rephrase the requirements in a different way.

Required Skills
